December 5, 2025 – Innovega Inc., a leader in advanced vision-assistive and AR eyewear technology, today announced that it has contracted with a Taiwan-based pioneer in smart eyewear manufacturing, to design and engineer full-function Innovega smart glasses by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
This partnership marks a major step in Innovega's transition from prototype development to large-scale commercialization, as the company prepares to launch its Gen I Smart Glasses designed to restore functional sight and independence for people living with significant vision loss.

The new design and engineering team brings deep expertise in optics, micro-displays, and AR wearables, having developed products for global technology leaders across Asia, Europe, and North America. By combining these advanced capabilities with Innovega's proprietary optical platform and patent portfolio, the partnership accelerates Innovega's timeline to market readiness.
The company's Gen I Smart Glasses provide users with augmented functional vision through lightweight, everyday eyewear. Designed to help individuals with low vision from conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and Stargardt's disease, the system enhances real-world imagery with customizable digital overlays, improving clarity, contrast, and confidence in daily life.
The announcement follows Innovega's recent participation in GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, where the leadership team, including Willey, Bambo Sofola (former Microsoft executive and Innovega's Director of Global Strategy), and Vijay Raghavan (Innovega Board Member and former Microsoft Controller) presented the company's vision to international investors and institutional partners.
